NFL Thursday Night Football Schedule: Where to Watch Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, TV Channel, Live Stream, Odds

An AFC South rivalry kicks off Week 3 of the NFL regular season when the Jacksonville Jaguars host the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night.

Both teams are coming off a loss in Week 2, with Tennessee losing 19-17 at home to Indianapolis, while Jacksonville fell 13-12 on the road against the Houston Texans. Despite a second consecutive defeat, the Jaguars found some reasons to be optimistic, in the shape of Gardner Minshew.

In his first start since replacing the injured Blake Bortles in Week 1, the rookie quarterback passed for 213 yards and a touchdown to finish with 97.2 quarterback rating. Minshew, who is developing into a cult-hero because of his trademark mustache, also rushed for team-high 56 yards and dragged the Jaguars within a two-point conversion of winning in Houston.

By contrast, his Tennessee counterpart had a day to forget. Marcus Mariota threw for a very modest 154 yards and one touchdown in the loss against the Colts.

Through the first two games, the Titans average 167.5 passing yards, down from 185.9 yards for the whole of last season and 27th overall in the league.

Tennessee was 1-for-10 on third downs on Sunday and have converted just three of 20 third downs so far this season, while Mariota has been sacked four times in each of the first two games.

The second overall pick of the 2015 draft, who is in the final season of his rookie contract, admitted the figures were disappointing.

''Part of it was trying to make a big play,'' he was quoted as saying by the Associated Press. ''I felt we needed a spark and instead I didn't check the ball down, and it was on a couple sacks. And that's stuff that I got to do a better job of. But at the same time, you just got to have an aggressive mindset and see what you can do.''

The Jaguars have problems themselves, with cornerback Jalen Ramsey demanding a trade earlier this week after publicly confronting head coach Doug Marrone on the sideline on Sunday.

The two-time Pro Bowler and Marrone had to be separated after he screamed at the Jaguars coach for not challenging a completion to Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

According to ESPN, Jacksonville wants a first-round pick in return for Ramsey and it remains to be seen whether he will suit up against the Titans.
