The February 13 Nintendo Direct rumors began to circulate last week, when Resetera user king zwell posted a cryptic message regarding the next presentation.

They wrote "13 is your lucky number...and I'm out" and said that the Metroid Prime Trilogy Switch port is likely to be revealed. They also pointed out the number of titles announced or ready to be announced in 2019 including Pokemon, Pikmin 3, Super Mario Maker 2 , a Boxboy title, and the next 2D Zelda .

Nintendo does have Yoshi's Wooly World slated to release in March, so more information on that title may be included in the Direct, as well as the possible release date of the next Super Smash Brothers Ultimate DLC fighter, Joker from Persona 5 .

Fire Emblem: Three Houses was announced at last year's E3 with a gameplay trailer. Nintendo did not provide a release date aside from the spring 2019 window, but now that the company has confirmed this game will be shown on Wednesday, fans can expect a hard release date.

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company confirmed plans to release a 2019 Pokémon game during the Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon reveal back in 2017. It wasn't until the Let's Go event in Japan that Generation 8 was announced for 2019. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have not provided further information about the Switch Pokémon game since and we don't expect to hear anything this Wednesday. The Pokemon Company usually has a whole Nintendo Direct to itself dedicated to main Pokémon games.

The last Nintendo Direct was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate showcase on November 1, but the last Direct that didn't focus exclusively on one game took place on September 13. Luigi's Mansion 3 and Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch were announced during the September presentation.

What else do you think will be shown during the Nintendo Direct? Are you excited for news about the latest Fire Emblem game? Let us know in the comments.
