The adult website site OnlyFans has returned online after briefly going down for a number of users on Monday.
The downinspector website states that hundreds of people reported problem with the content subscription service across the U.S.
Many also described the site being down on social media.
"Of course Onlyfans is down when I'm tryna set up my account," Twitter user @MiaLnagbts tweeted.
OnlyFans user @Yourgirlsskye tweeted: "Of course only fans is down when i was about to drop a video. How annoying I'm like okay let me make sure to get this sent out before bee."
However, the site's teething problems appear to be over and OnlyFans is now back up and running as normal and no issues have been reported in around an hour.
OnlyFans is reportedly aiming to shift away from pornographic material as it seeks to raise funding at a valuation of more than $1 billion.
Sources told Bloomberg that it hopes the site will become more mainstream in the future, as more celebrities and sports stars will joining the site to help it move past is reputation for hosting pornography.
It was recently announced that Floyd Mayweather is teaming up with OnlyFans for a partnership which includes exclusive content and fight sponsorships, as well as offering the boxing superstar a chance to share his personal life with his supporters.
"OnlyFans will be a new experience for fans. I'm looking forward to sharing a glimpse into my life and some never before seen content while getting to know top fans" Mayweather said in a statement on June 5.
The launch was announced one day before Mayweather's exhibition fight against YouTuber Logan Paul. OnlyFans were Mayweather's sponsor for the match in which no winner was declared after eight rounds.
"Sports athletes are a creator genre we're seeing a lot of growth in and it's incredible to have Mayweather joining the platform right before his highly anticipated fight. I'm a huge fan of the boxing legend and I'm looking forward to his content" said OnlyFans founder and CEO, Tim Stokely.
Founded in 2016, OnlyFans has since paid out over $3 billion in creator earnings. The site saw a surge in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic and people found new ways to earn an income after losing their jobs.
It currently has more than 130 million registered users and over 1.25 million creators worldwide.
