'Overwatch' Summer Games 2018: Start Time, New Skins and More

Overwatch Summer Games 2018 brings players out of the shade and directly into the sun. Whether you're a Reinhardt main looking for a new skin, or a Lucio Ball-obsessed soccer pro, there's something for you. It's not clear exactly what's changing for this year's event, though we shouldn't be surprised if we get something awesome to go with our summer towels and swim trunks. We'll be getting a new Lucio Ball map that brings us to Busan in South Korea, the esports capital of the world.

Here's everything you need to know to get ready for the Summer Games event, even if you're pale like Moira and shouldn't be out in the sun.

Overwatch Summer Games Start Time

Blizzard has announced the Summer Games will start on Aug. 9. Judging from past Overwatch events, it's likely you can start having fun in the sun at 1 to 2 p.m. EDT. This isn't a guarantee, as technical difficulties can tend to pop up, delaying the experience for everyone.

New Overwatch Summer Games Skins

All of the Summer Games skins from past years will be available in special Loot Boxes or for purchase with coins. There are also a few new skins that have been slowly getting revealed on Twitter.
