A surprising moment caught on camera has left social media users stunned after a Weimaraner pulled an unexpected trick when his owner forgot to crate him.
The viral TikTok video, recorded on a doorbell camera was shared in March under the username @kaylapentecost. At first, the footage shows nothing out of the ordinary. The poster’s front lawn appears quiet and still, giving no hint of what is about to happen.
The calm scene is interrupted when a dog suddenly drops from a window above. In one smooth movement, the Weimaraner falls, lands cleanly on his feet on top of a bush, and then casually walks away. The dog shows no sign of distress or surprise, behaving as if nothing unusual has occurred.

Crate, or kennel, training aims to give dogs a safe, comfortable space where they can relax, sleep, and retreat when needed. It can be useful for travel, recovery, new environments, and gradually leaving dogs unsupervised.
The crate should be appropriately sized, well-equipped with bedding and water, and placed in a quiet, comfortable location.
Training should be gradual and reward-based, allowing the dog to explore the crate freely and associate it with positive experiences like treats, toys, and calm behavior. Owners should slowly increase the time the dog spends inside, beginning with short periods and building up as the dog becomes more relaxed.
It’s important to follow the dog’s pace and watch for signs of stress, stepping back if needed. Crates must never be used as punishment and dogs should not be left inside for long periods (generally no more than a few hours).
When done correctly, crate training supports a dog’s wellbeing by providing a secure, positive space of their own.
Since being uploaded, the video has amassed over 1.3 million views and more than 246,800 likes, turning the brief moment into a viral hit.
One user, Josie Conn, commented: “Of all the places I thought that dog was going to appear from I would have never guessed the sky.”
Annaweber138 said: “As a Weimaraner owner, can confirm, heart of gold, brain of skittles.”
Amber | PhD Spider Girl added: “Dogs out here acting like vets are just free.”
