Paul Gosar Posts Anime Video Showing Him Killing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Paul Gosar (R-AZ) has shared a photoshopped anti-immigrant anime video that shows him killing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

On Sunday, Gosar shared the video on Twitter that used clips from popular Japanese anime Attack on Titan, alongside the caption: "Any anime fans out there?"

The clip opens with Gosar's name under Japanese text, which reads "attack of immigrants" before it continues to show real clips of Gosar and Border Patrol agents spliced alongside scenes from the anime show's opening credits.

It then shows a collection of clips of migrants walking and wading through water, along with blood splatter effects on the screen before it cuts to an MS13 gang member and the words "drugs, crime, poverty, money, gangs, violence" and "trafficking" appear.

As the clip continues, controversial representative Gosar can be seen darting across a European-style city alongside House lawmakers Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

Gosar—in the place of main character Eren Yaeger—circles around a giant with Ocasio-Cortez's face photoshopped on before the anime character launches into the air and comes down, slicing the back of the giant's neck, killing it.

Seconds later, Gosar runs across a rooftop and, with blades drawn, jumps toward a giant with President Joe Biden's face photoshopped onto it.

It then ends with a mashup of clips that includes migrants at the U.S. border, Donald Trump and Gosar with his feet on a desk.

As of Monday morning, the clip has been viewed more than 1 million times online and has been liked on more than 17,000 occasions.

The anime clip uploaded by Gosar was essentially a photoshopped video of the season 1 opening for Attack on Titan, a popular Japanese anime.

It focuses on the efforts of a group of soldiers who live inside walled cities that are under threat from man-eating giants who try to breach the defences and get at the population inside.

The soldiers, who are the last remaining humans, fight to take down the monsters and kill them by slicing the back of their necks with swords.

Attack on Titan became a popular anime to parody during Trump's presidential campaign as the anime involves characters defending the walls of the city.

Numerous Trump-related Attack on Titan parodies can be found on YouTube and have been watched more than a million times combined.

Newsweek has contacted Ocasio-Cortez, Gosar and Twitter for comment.

Gosar has flirted with controversy on numerous occasions and has regularly faced condemnation for positions or persons he has taken and associated himself with, respectively.

Earlier this year, Gosar had been listed as attending a fundraiser with white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes.

His siblings also wrote an op-ed about the Congressman, calling out his promotion of baseless claims that the 2020 election was somehow stolen from Trump.
