The Philadelphia Phillies added Harrison Bader last season, and it proved to be a huge addition down the stretch. But it seems like the Phillies are going to lose him in free agency this winter.
Philadelphia has made a few moves to add to its roster and its outfield this offseason. As a result, Bader, who remained in free agency as of Wednesday, is expected to sign with a new team.
Bleacher Report's Tim Kelly predicted Bader would bolt for a deal with the Cleveland Guardians in free agency.

"While Bader might not be returning to the Phillies, he could suit up in 2026 for a team he's already played for," Kelly wrote. "Namely, if one of the two New York teams doesn't end up with Bellinger or Tucker, Bader would make a ton of sense as a candidate to reunite with.
"If not, though, the Guardians project to have an extremely right-handed lineup. Bader would address that, while upgrading on George Valera in right field. Bader's experience in right field is limited, but he's so good at center and left, that he could probably make right field work. The Guards could also put Bader in center field and have top prospect Chase DeLauter play right field."
Bader could be the perfect addition for the Guardians.
The Guardians don't have the money to spend to pursue the top outfielders like Cody Bellinger and Kyle Tucker. But they should have enough to give Bader a one or two-year deal.
Bader's production last season makes him a very intriguing free agent. The Guardians need to maximize each spot on their roster, and adding a potential five-tool player like Bader would be worth the investment.
