Piers Morgan Slams 'Unfathomably Dumb' Sarah Palin Remarks on COVID Vaccine

Former CNN host Piers Morgan has criticized Sarah Palin after saying she would get the COVID-19 vaccine over her "dead body" after contracting the virus earlier this year.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate made the remarks while speaking on stage with Charlie Kirk during Turning Point USA's "AmericaFest" at the Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona on Sunday.

While sharing a link from the Mail Online reporting on her comments, Morgan tweeted that Palin is "unfathomably dumb" to his 7.9 million followers.

Palin, a former governor of Alaska, told Kirk that she will not be getting the vaccine because Dr. Antony Fauci, the White House chief medical advisor, previously said you would get natural immunity from the virus if you become infected with it.

Palin previously confirmed she and her family all tested positive for COVID-19 in March of this year.

"It'll be over my dead body that I'll have to get a shot,'' Palin said, prompting cheers from the crowd in Phoenix.

"I won't do it and they better not touch my kids either."

Kirk then said how a number of people may have to get the vaccine or else they risk losing their job or being kicked out of school.

"I think if enough of us rise up and say 'no, enough is enough'—there are more of us than there are of them," Palin claimed, despite more than 77 percent of the U.S population having at least one dose of the vaccine.

"You need to all look around and realize that, as you stiffen your spine and take those positions that you know are right, especially when it comes to the government telling us what we have to inject in our own bodies, Palin added.

"Realize that as you stiffen your spine, their spines too will stiffen. There is an empowerment in a group like this where you all can realize and kind of feed off each other and really be strong."

This is not the first time Morgan has openly criticized Palin.

When he was a presenter on Good Morning Britain, Morgan scrutinized Palin after she attempted to claim Donald Trump lost the 2020 election as a result of widespread voter fraud and "shenanigans," and repeatedly refused to say President Joe Biden won fairly.

After Palin cited "dead people who voted" as apparent proof of voter fraud, Morgan said: "I say this with the utmost respect to you, you're sounding totally bonkers.

"Part of the problem with the Republican Party is that people like you, high members of the Republican Party, are still perpetuating this utter load of nonsense that somehow there was fraud and that stopped Trump winning. Trump got hammered in this election," Morgan added.

Palin has been contacted for comment.
