UPDATE: 1:23 p.m. EDT—The pilot and passenger involved in Friday's plane crash in Midland, Texas, did not need to be taken to the hospital, KOSA-TV reported. The injuries the two unidentified people sustained were minor.

Photos from the scene showed a crumpled plane near a number of parked cars in a lot. The Federal Aviation Authority said it was set to investigate the cause of the crash.

UPDATE: 12:43 p.m. EDT—The two people involved in Friday's plane crash in Midland, Texas, sustained only minor injuries, according to KMID-TV.

The cause of the crash was being investigated by authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Authorities were responding to a plane crash in Midland, Texas, on Friday. A small plane crashed into a parking lot at Claydesta around 11 a.m., KOSA-TV reported.

At least two people were on board the plane when it crashed. There were no deaths reported, according to KWES-TV.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
