A video of a dog trying to help a plumber with his work in a home has quickly captured viewers' hearts.

In a TikTok video posted last week by @hubertthegoldenretriever, the plumber was at dog owner Fie Mortensen's home, working diligently under the sink on "important installations." The job required zero help from a dog, but that didn't stop one of her canines. Albert the golden retriever immediately wanted to get involved with whatever was happening.

Trying to offer the plumber his assistance, Albert delayed the job because he wouldn't leave the plumber alone to do his work. Albert forced himself into the cabinet and got face-to-face with the plumber under the sink. All he was trying to do was supervise and lend a helping paw.

Not wanting to be rude, the plumber welcomed Albert in. He attempted to multitask by working on the installation while petting him. To Albert, that felt like an invitation to get even closer, and he was almost sitting on top of the plumber. He excitedly wagged his tail, maybe thinking his assistance was helping with the project.

Fortunately, Mortensen told Newsweek via TikTok, the plumber already knew Albert and his doggy sibling. She said both dogs love him, which is why she wasn't too surprised when Albert jumped in to assist. Plus, he's always been interested in what is happening around him.

"Albert, the dog that is on the video, loves everyone and is very curious always," Mortensen said. "He always wants to be part of what you're doing."

What Do the Comments Say?

The TikTok video quickly received over 390,300 views, 37,300 likes and 372 comments as of Thursday.

"He's just there for emotional support," wrote one user.

A second added: "The dog thought he was there for him, probably a bit confused about why they are so close to the sink."

While Mortensen thought the job didn't require a dog's help, many TikTok viewers were quick to dispute that point. Someone asked: "What kind of job requires ZERO golden retrievers? I'm almost certain every job requires at least one."

Others theorized that the plumber likely loved getting some help from the dog: "I know that was the best job all week. That man went home grinning."
