Pokémon Sword and Shield is one of the most-anticipated games for Nintendo Switch, and fans will finally get the latest information on the Gen 8 titles.

The Pokémon Company announced that the second Pokémon-focused Nintendo Direct will drop this week. What will be revealed during the stream is unknown, but fans should expect at least the reveal of new Pokémon from the Galar region.

A release date for Pokémon Sword and Shield is also likely along with new gameplay footage. But if you want to learn all the latest information for Sword and Shield as it happens, here's everything you need to know including the start time and how to watch it online.

The second Pokémon Direct will start on Wednesday, June 5 at 9 a.m. EST. It may start a minute or two late, but unless there's a last-minute change announced by Nintendo, expect this presentation to begin right on time.

Fans will receive roughly 15 minutes of footage and information on Sword and Shield.

This Pokémon Direct can be viewed on the official Direct site. However, we recommend watching the online presentation on the official Nintendo YouTube channel.

The YouTube app is available for mobile devices as well as game consoles. Nintendo Switch owners can also watch the Pokémon Direct on their console anywhere there's an internet connection.

Nintendo's official Twitch channel will also carry the Pokémon Direct on June 5 when it goes live. Fans can watch the stream on their desktop, or even consoles like PS4 and Xbox One.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are expected to release on Switch in late 2019.
