Just because 2020 is ending, that doesn't mean that Pokémon Go is slowing down the updates and events.

Niantic confirmed Wednesday on its blog what Pokémon Go trainers can expect from the mobile game in the final month of the year. These updates include what Pokémon will appear in the Research Breakthrough, which Legendary Pokémon will return to Raids and much more.

And while a lot has been revealed, there's still the possibility of more events that are still unannounced, like December's Community Day. For now, here's what Pokémon Go trainers can expect in December.

Pokémon tagging will allow trainers to create different colored tags, apply them to Pokémon and use them to filter them in your collection. The Pokémon search function will also be updated to allow for enhanced usability. Tapping on the search bar will have a new screen appear, which will allow trainers to search Pokémon based on type, region, Buddy level, Shiny and more.
