'Pokémon Go' Landorus Raids: Counters and Everything You Need to Know
The new Season of Legends has begun in Pokémon Go and with it comes a celebration of some of the most powerful Pokémon in the franchise, the Legendaries.
Starting March 1, the Season of Legends begins with a special run of Raids that feature Landorus, Thundurus and Tornadus of the Unova region. For a week, each of these Pokémon will appear in Legendary Raids for trainers to battle and capture.
First up we have Landorus who will be appearing in Raids from March 1 until Saturday, March 6 at 8 a.m. local time.
If you want to be prepared to face off against Landorus in Pokémon Go, here are some options to take into battle.

POKEMON GO LANDORUS RAID COUNTERS
Landorus is a Ground and Flying-type Pokémon, making it weak to just Water and Ice-type attacks. However, Ice-type moves will be four times as effective against the Legendary Pokémon, so we recommend bringing Pokémon that can use these attacks.
Pokémon Go has a number of Ice and Water-type Pokémon who can help take on Landorus, especially a few Megas.
Mega Gyarados and Blastoise are prime options for trainers looking to power up Water-type attacks against the Legendary. However, Mega Abomasnow is the best Mega Pokémon option to take on Landorus.
Along with these three Mega Pokémon, there are a few Water-type Legendaries that can help you in battle, as well as some powerful and fast attacking Ice-types. Below is a list of the Pokémon and attacks trainers will want to consider in battle against Landorus.
- Mega Abomasnow with Power Snow and Weather Ball (Ice)
- Mega Blastoise with Water Gun and Hydro Cannon/Ice Beam
- Mega Gyarados with Waterfall and Hydro Pump
- Mamoswine with Power Snow and Avalanche
- Abomasnow with Powder Snow and Weather Ball (Ice)
- Weavile with Ice Shard and Avalanche
- Galarian Darmanitan with Ice Fang and Avalanche
- Articuno with Frost Breath and Ice Beam
- Glaceon with Frost Breath and Avalanche
- Cloyster with Frost Breath and Avalanche
- Kyogre with Waterfall and Blizzard
