'Pokémon Go' Raid Boss Update: Buizel and Budew Added to Game

A new Pokémon Go update and timed event have arrived, introducing two new Sinnoh Pokémon: Buizel and Budew.

This new event, Stardust Blast, will run from Nov. 6 to Nov. 13 at 4 p.m. EST. Stardust Blast brings Buizel, the Water-type Pokémon to Raid Battles. Budew, the Grass and Poison-type pre-evolution of Roselia, comes to Eggs. Pokémon Go trainers will also earn double Stardust when catching or hatching Pokémon.

If you're looking for Buizel, you'll want to find a Level 1 Raid to take on. Being a Water-type, Buizel is only weak to Grass and Electric attacks. It's also relatively easy to take down on your own, so go out there and battle it as soon as possible. Buizel and its evolved form, Floatzel, have also begun appearing in the wild. There may be a chance you'll run into one on your journeys.

As for the other Raid Bosses, the other Pokémon that began appearing during the Halloween Event are seemingly unchanged. Here are the current Raid Bosses in Pokémon Go.

Tier 1

  • Duskull
  • Snorunt
  • Shinx
  • Shuppet

Tier 2

  • Sableye
  • Misdreavus
  • Sneasel
  • Kirlia
  • Mawile

Tier 3

  • Sharpedo
  • Gengar
  • Granbull
  • Machamp

Tier 4

  • Togetic
  • Houndoom
  • Alolan Marowak
  • Absol
  • Tyranitar

Tier 5

Budew can only be found by hatching a 5km Egg. Some players claim that Budew can be hatched in its Shiny Form. This would make sense since Roselia, its evolved form, has a chance to be Shiny in Pokémon Go. To evolve Budew into Roselia, it will take 25 Candy.
