'Pokémon Go' Raid Update: Galarian Weezing and More Pokémon Available

The latest Raid Boss update has gone into effect inPokémon Go,and it brings quite possibly the largest pool of different Pokémon to catch yet.

Pokémon Go trainers are currently enjoying the Supereffective Week event, which brings a ton of in-game bonuses for catching Pokémon, and a part of it is the new Raid Bosses. These Raid Bosses are implemented to help trainers take on Team Go Rocket Grunts and their Leaders.

Many of the Team Go Rocket Grunts use Poison and Dark-type Pokémon, so there are plenty of Steel and Ground-type Pokémon to help combat them. Team Go Rocket Leaders have a mix of different Pokémon types, so the new Raids reflect that.

There are powerful Tier 1 Pokémon like Beldum and Klink who evolve into some powerful Steel-type Pokémon, while the Tier 3 Raids have t 16 different species to catch. There are some rare Pokémon like Skarmory, its new Shiny variant and even Aerodactyl.

As for the Tier 4 Raid Bosses, Lapras, Tyranitar, Golem and Alolan Marowak make for powerful attackers, while the first Galarian form makes its way to Pokémon Go. Galarian Weezing is available in Pokémon Go to celebrate the recent release of Sword and Shield.

The first-ever Poison and Fairy-type Pokémon, Galarian Weezing's typing makes it only weak to Ground and Psychic-type attacks and stands to be a great defender for Gyms.

The Tier 5 Raids continue to have Cobalion, the first of the Swords of Justice from the Unova region, available to battle and catch. This Steel and Fighting-type Pokémon is great for battling a myriad of different Pokémon, while Regigigas remains the EX Raid for those eligible.

Here's every new Raid Boss in the latest Pokémon Go update.
