POKEMON GO LATIAS EVENT START TIME

Trainers will see Latias appear in Raid Battles starting Friday, February 22 at 4 p.m. EST and end on Friday, March 1 at 4 p.m. EST .

SHINY LATIAS

Shiny hunters in Pokémon Go will get a kick out of searching for this rare Legendary Pokémon. Like other Shiny Pokémon found in Raids, trainers will need to defeat the boss and enter the catching sequence to find out if they have encountered the variant.

Shiny Latias is not hard to miss, its coloring changes from red and white to gold and white.

Latias getting its Shiny makes it just the latest Legendary to receive their variation in Pokémon Go . The other current Shiny Legendaries in Pokémon Go include: Mewtwo, Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza.

LATIAS COUNTERS

Latias is a Psychic and Dragon-type Pokémon, and is only weak to: Dragon, Ice, Bug, Fairy, Dark and Ghost-type attacks. It also resists: Fighting, Psychic, Fire, Water, Electric and Grass-type attacks.

Some of the best Pokémon to take into battle are some of the other Dragon-type Legendaries and Pseudo-Legendaries like Rayquaza, Salamence and Dragonite. Weavile's high attack power and speed - along with its Dark and Ice-type attacks - make it a viable option against Latias.

Gengar and Mewtwo knowing the move, Shadow Ball are also good options if you missed out on Rayquaza or haven't picked up enough candy to get Salamence or Dragonite.
