The Pokémon Go Weedle Community Day event begins Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m. local time and ends at 5 p.m. local time.

Weedle will appear more often in the wild during the six-hour event. If you use an Incense during the event, they will appear near you more frequently no matter where you are, even in the comfort of your own home.

If you're lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Weedle, which makes its Pokémon Go debut this Saturday.

Regular Weedle are yellow in color with a pinkish, purple nose and legs. Shiny Weedle are a more faint yellow with its nose and legs still being purple but with a more vibrant tone. It may be a bit difficult to determine if you've encountered a Shiny or regular Weedle in Pokémon Go, but you should look out for the shiny symbol next to its name when you are trying to capture it.

Every Community Day event gives the spotlight Pokémon an exclusive move to use in Raids and trainer battles. For Weedle, it can learn the move Drill Run upon evolving into Beedrill during the event window.

Players will have up until two hours after the event finishes (meaning 7 p.m. local time) to have their Beedrill learn this exclusive move. Weedle and its evolution, Kakuna, don't have to be caught during the event for them to learn Drill Run upon evolving—you can have a Weedle you caught before Community Day learn this move, as long as it's within the event window.

With Pokémon Go getting Mega Evolution in the near future, a Mega Beedrill knowing the Ground-type attack Drill Run could make it a force in trainer battles.

Along with the increase in Weedle spawn in Pokémon Go and the higher rate of finding a Shiny Weedle, trainers can enjoy a list of other in-game bonuses.

First, trainers will receive three times the amount of Stardust for catching Pokémon. This is great to level up and evolve your Pokémon.

Incense will last for three hours during the event as opposed to one. And finally, Buddy Pokémon with a Buddy Level of Great Buddy or higher will bring players helpful items, such as Poké Balls, throughout the event.
