When players open up Pokémon Go during the Earth Day event, they should notice increased spawns of Water, Grass and Ground-type Pokémon, as well as increased stardust for catching these types of Pokémon.

Some of these increased spawns include the most rare Pokémon in the game. According to players on reddit, Baltoy, Larvitar, Feebas have begun appearing more frequently. Users have also reported seeing more Wailmer, Sandshrew, Remoraid and Magikarp.

If you're looking to obtain the 400 candy to evolve Wailmer and/or Magikarp, this is the time to do it, as they'll begin appearing all over. Judging from past events, the Earth Day event in Pokémon Go will end on April 30 around 4 p.m.

Along with the increased spawns of Water, Grass and Ground-type Pokémon, redditors claim Shiny Wailmer now appear in Pokémon Go. Like other Shinies in Pokémon Go, players will need to interact with the Pokémon in the overworld to see if it's a Shiny or not.
