'Pokémon Let's Go' Version 1.01 - Patch Notes

After teasing a new update for Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let's Go Eevee, Nintendo has pushed out the latest version of the Nintendo Switch title.

Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee Version 1.01 doesn't bring too much to the first Pokémon game on the Switch, but it has much-needed fixes for some bugs and alters certain displays that were a tad confusing for trainers.

Version 1.0.1

  • Issues Fixed
    • The issue where the Pokémon received through Mystery Gift does not get registered in the Pokédex when exiting the game without saving has been resolved.
      • If you have already received the Pokémon through Mystery Gift, put the Pokémon that is not registered in the Pokédex in the Pokémon Box and download the update data. Once this is done, the Pokémon should be reflected in the Pokédex.
  • Other Update Information
    • The Pokémon's Markings and Judge function's □ and ☆ orders were reversed. It has now been changed to match.
    • Various gameplay fixes.

Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee were released in November to mixed reactions from fans. While Let's Go weren't the usual Pokémon games players are used to - they favored the casual/Pokémon Go audience - the gorgeous and fun gameplay made us excited to see how Game Freak and The Pokémon Company utilize the Switch in the future.

A new Pokémon game is set to release in Fall 2019 and is likely a return to the mainline titles. This is also, likely, the introduction of Generation 8 and a whole new slew of Pokémon to catch and train.

There hasn't been any new information regarding the 2019 Pokémon games but fans can expect the first bit of news before E3 2019 in June.
