'Pokémon Masters' Update Adds Entei in New Legendary Arena Mode
The latest update in the Pokémon Masters mobile game is live and it brings a new way to battle.
The new Legendary Arena mode will allow players to battle against an extremely powerful Legendary Pokémon using only a limited number of sync pairs. Each time you battle this Legendary Pokémon, the HP damage that's dealt carries over. To compensate, these Pokémon will have extremely high HP so it will require players to carefully compose their teams to take down this foe.
Entei, the powerful Fire-type Legendary from the Johto region, is the first Pokémon to join this new feature in Pokémon Masters. This Pokémon will appear now until June 25 at 1:59 a.m. EDT, to who all players who have completed Chapter 2 of the Main Story.
Pokémon Masters announced that more Legendary events like this one will be added in the future, but until then, players will need to bring out all the stops to take down Entei during this event.

HOW TO BEAT ENTEI IN POKEMON MASTERS
Entei is weak to Water-type attacks, so bringing as many as you can into battle will help players take it down as quickly as possible.
Pokémon Masters just introduced the sync pair Sygna Suit Grimsley and Sharpedo into the game as a Spotlight Scout until the end of the Entei event. Sharpedo has a high attack stat, but weak defenses so players will want to be careful when using this against Entei.
Similar to the Battle Villa, players in the Legendary Arena will only have a set number of Sync Pairs that they can use. In this case, players can use 30 pairs to take Entei's HP down to zero. Bring in three Sync Pairs at a time to chip Entei's health down.
Players will notice that in these battles, Entei has three bars of health and after every depleted bar, the Pokémon's tactics in battle change and it becomes more difficult to take down.
There are some noteworthy aspects of this battle that players will need to know. If you decrease Entei's stats or inflict a status condition like Poison, it will remain there until a bar of health is depleted. When the next bar of health appears, Entei gets a clean slate.
We recommend leaving at least one Pokémon that can poison Entei for his last bar of health, as his health will continue to deplete every time you go into battle against it.
It's also worth noting that Entei's Sync Move counter carries over if your three Sync Pairs are knocked out.
If you use up all 30 Sync Pairs without taking down Entei, you will have to reset the challenge, but you'll lose all progress. Otherwise, it'll automatically reset after one week.
