The first part of the trailer confirms there will be Galarian forms of older Pokémon. Similar to the Alolan forms in Sun and Moon, these regional forms change certain Pokémon's typings, abilities and more.

Galarian Weezing was the first shown, changing its typing from pure Poison to a Poison and Fairy-type Pokémon. It keeps the Levitate ability, but the trailer teases that it will also have a second ability that the Kanto Weezing never had. It's also unclear if Koffing, Weezing's pre-evolution, will have a Galarian form but as we saw with Alolan Exeggutor and Marowak pre-evolutions don't necessarily need one.

The other Galarian form is the Zigzagoon line. Galarian Zigzagoon changes from pure Normal to a Dark and Normal-type Pokémon - similar to Alolan Rattata. It has the abilities Pickup and Gluttony.

Galarian Linoone keeps it typing and its abilities. However, the surprises don't stop there as Galarian Linoone can evolve!

The Galar region houses evolutions for older Pokémon. Galarian Linoone can evolve into Obstagoon, which is a Dark and Normal-type Pokémon with the abilities Reckless and Guts.

A brand new Pokémon was also revealed in Morpeko. It's an Electric and Dark-type Pokémon with the ability Hunger Switch. It can change forms in battle with its Full Belly Mode making Morpeko more cheerful.

But if Morpeko gets hungry, it changes into its Hangry Mode causing its signature Aura Wheel attack to change from an Electric-type move to Dark-type.

Also in the trailer were new rivals and the introduction of the evil team. First we have Bede who uses a Duosion. Second, we have Marnie who is constantly followed by Team Yell. Marnie is actually seen with Morpeko in the Japanese trailer.

Team Yell are rowdy fans of Marnies who cause trouble. They are seen using Galarian Zigzagoon.

Pokémon Sword and Shield will release November 15 for Nintendo Switch.
