Powerball Lottery Numbers Drawing: Watch Live Stream of Jackpot Results for 1/16/2019 Online

Saturday night's Powerball drawing resulted in no jackpot winner meaning that after a few more days the jackpot had time to increase before it was up for grabs again Wednesday night. The jackpot increased to $112 million ahead of Wednesday night's drawing with a cash option of $68 million for the winner.

The winning numbers on January 12 were 7, 36, 48, 57, 58 and the Powerball was 24 with a Power Play of 2. Each person who plays has a one in 24.9 chance of winning a prize and there are nine ways to win a prize.

To win the jackpot ticket holders have to match all six numbers on their ticket with the six numbers drawn, and the Power Ball has to match exactly. The first five numbers have to match in any order, those numbers are chosen from a pool of balls numbered one through 69 and the Power Ball is chosen from a pool of balls numbered one through 26.

The drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. EST Wednesday night. Shortly after the drawing, the winning numbers will be added to the Powerball site and the drawing will also be broadcast live from WSB-TV and available here:

Depending on the state, some people can buy tickets up until an hour before the drawing, in some states its two hours before the drawing so anyone who wants to play Wednesday night's lottery should check their state rules. Other rules that vary state to state include whether or not jackpot winners can stay anonymous and how long winners have to cash in their tickets.

A few hours after the drawing Powerball announces whether any tickets were sold with the winning numbers and what state that jackpot winner is in. Tickets cost $2 a play and an extra dollar will add on the Power Play.

The Power Play multiplies non-jackpot winning prizes by either two, three, four, five or 10. The Power Play number is chosen before each drawing so ticket-holders know before the winning numbers are even drawn whether their winnings might be multiplied. The 10x multiplier isn't valid when the jackpot is over $150 million though and anyone who matched the five white balls and has the Power Play automatically wins $2 million.
