Powerball Results, Numbers for 3/18/20: Did Anyone Win the $130 Million Jackpot on Wednesday (Last) Night?

The winning Powerball numbers from last night (Wednesday) were 15, 27, 44, 59, and 63, the Powerball was 8, and the Power Play was X4. But did anyone win the Powerball drawing?

Nobody won the Powerball jackpot last night, which was estimated to be $130 million with a cash option of $101.1 million. In the next Powerball draw, which will take place on Saturday, March 21, the jackpot is an estimated $140 million with a cash option of $108.7 million.

While nobody won the jackpot, a player in Washington matched five numbers and won $1 million. Additionally, 13 players matched four balls and the Powerball and won $50,000 each, while five of these players used the Power Play to multiply their prizes to $200,000.

More than 200 players won $100 by matching four balls, and more than 60 of these players turned their prizes into $400 by using the Power Play. A further 588 players also won $100 each, but by matching three balls and the Powerball, and 150 of these players won $400 by using the Power Play.

Thousands of players won smaller prizes ranging from $4 to $28. More than 395,000 players won smaller prizes by matching just the Powerball to matching three numbers and more than 100,000 of these players multiplied their prizes using the Power Play.

The odds of winning a prize in the Powerball lottery are 1 in 24.9, no matter the size of the jackpot or the number of tickets sold. However, while the odds of matching just the Powerball and winning $4 are 1 in 38.32, the odds of winning the jackpot by matching five numbers and the Powerball are one in 1 in 292,201,338.

The odds of winning a prize also vary by the number of the Power Play. When the Power Play is X2, the odds of winning are 1 in 1.79, but when the Power Play is X10, the odds of winning are 1 in 43.

The Power Play is randomly selected just before the drawing and could be X2, X3, X4, X5, or X10. To play with the Power Play, purchase a ticket for $2 and add the Power Play option for an additional $1 per play. Players must choose five numbers for the white balls and one number for the red Power ball.

Make sure to only purchase Powerball tickets from an official, licensed retailer. The Powerball lottery is played across 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and some lottery jurisdictions sell tickets online. The deadline for ticket sales vary by jurisdiction but typically end between an hour or two before the drawing.
