Powerball Results, Numbers for 07/17/21: Did Anyone Win the $150M Jackpot?

The winning numbers in Saturday night's (July 17) Powerball drawing were 15, 22, 38, 54, 66. The Powerball was 3 and the Power Play was X2.

There was no jackpot winner but a new millionaire was made, with one ticket matching all five numbers without the Powerball for a $1 million prize.

With no jackpot winner, the grand prize is set to increase for the next draw, with the estimated jackpot at $161 million (with a cash value of $116.1 million).

Other winning Powerball tickets included:

  • A dozen tickets matched four balls and the Powerball to win $50,000, with an additional four ticket holders doubling their winnings with a X2 Powerplay.
  • And 297 matched four numbers without the Powerball to win $100, with a further 87 doubling their prize thanks to their purchase of a Powerplay.
  • Another 735 matched three balls and the Powerball to win $100, with a further 207 doing so with a Powerplay to win $200.

According to Powerball's official website, each ticket has the same chance of winning a prize: 1 in 24.9.

The odds of winning the big jackpot are much, much longer at 1 in 292,201,338.

If you do win, you can choose to take your prize as an annuity, or for significantly less, a lump-sum payment. The annuity option gives you 30 annual payments over the space of 29 years, with each payment increasing by five percent until the 30th and final payment.

How to play Powerball

Drawings usually take place every Wednesday and Saturday, at 10:59 p.m. ET. Each draw is broadcast live from the lottery studio located in Tallahassee, Florida.

Players select one Powerball number from 1 to 26, and five other numbers from 1 to 69.

Each ticket costs $2 per play, but in certain circumstances, players can also multiply non-jackpot prizes by using the Power Play option for an additional $1.
