Powerball Results, Numbers for 3/20/19: Did Anyone Win The $550 Million Jackpot on Wednesday (Last) Night?

Wednesday night’s Powerball jackpot is worth $550 million with a cash option of $335 million. Was anyone lucky enough to win the jackpot prize?

The Powerball drawing for was held at 11 p.m. EST on Wednesday night. The winning numbers were 10-14-50-53-63, Powerball 21, and Power Play 2X, according to the Powerball website. Although no one won Wednesday night's jackpot, there was one winner in South Carolina who won two million dollars after matching five of the winning numbers and the Power Play, the Powerball website states. There were also four one million dollars winners from Florida, Kentucky, New Jersey and South Carolina after they matched five of the winning numbers, the lottery website states.

The next Powerball drawing will be held on Saturday at 11 p.m. EST. The Powerball jackpot is now worth $625 million with a cash option of $380.6 million, according to the lottery website. 

The lottery drawings for Powerball are held two times a week on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 11 p.m. EST. Those who wish to buy a ticket for the next drawing should purchase their tickets at least two hours before the drawing, the Powerball website states. Powerball is played across 44 states in the U.S. and is one of the most popular lottery games played across the nation, according to the lottery website.

The last person to win a Powerball jackpot was a man from Tennessee. Michael Watson from Cuba, Tennessee, told lottery officials while he was in Missouri, he decided to purchase Powerball tickets for the March 9 drawing. Since the jackpot at the time had reached $414 million, Watson purchased some tickets at Huck’s Food Store in Sikeston, Missouri, according to a Powerball press release.

“I was just filling up, then went inside to buy a candy bar and some tickets,” Watson told lottery officials.

Watson said he was shocked when he checked the numbers while he was sitting in his parked vehicle after the drawing.

“I thought, ‘Is this what I’m thinking it is?’” he recalled to lottery officials.

Watson is one of the eleven Powerball winners Missouri has had in 2019, according to a Powerball press release. The second Missouri winner is Lori Butterworth of Harrisonville, Missouri, according to Powerball. Butterworth told lottery officials she had purchased the winning ticket at a QuickTrip convenience store located in Independence, Missouri.

The winner told lottery officials she was “shocked” to have won such a big prize after matching four of the five winning numbers and the Powerball during the March 6 drawing.
