According to the Powerball website, the winning numbers for June 19 were 04-18-21-26-38. The Power Ball was 1 with a Power Play of X3. However, there were no winners of the jackpot or Match 5 this time out. Four people matched four numbers and the Power Ball, taking home $150,000 each.

The last jackpot was won on June 1, when 66-year-old Charles W. Jackson Jr. from North Carolina claimed a jackpot of $344.6 million by matching all six numbers. He is now the largest jackpot winner in the state's history.

The jackpot winner told a press conference that he picked his Powerball numbers from a fortune cookie that his granddaughter got at a Vietnamese restaurant, according to WRAL. However, he didn't realize that he had won the jackpot until he checked his ticket on Tuesday morning.

The jackpot now stands at $108 million with a cash option of $70.4 million. The next Powerball draw is on Saturday, June 22, 2019.

How do you play Powerball?

Powerball draws, which are broadcast live from the lottery studio in Tallahassee, Florida, take place on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 10:59 p.m. ET, meaning there are just three days to go until the next one.

Powerball is one of the most widely played lottery games in the country. Tickets are sold in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to its website.

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play. In the game, players select five numbers from 1 to 69, in addition to one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Furthermore, players can multiply any non-jackpot prizes using the Power Play option for an additional $1 per go in certain circumstances.

According to Powerball, the odds of winning a prize are the same in every Powerball drawing. The website states that a player has 1 in 24.9 chance of winning a prize when the jackpot is $40 million, and that doesn't change even if the jackpot is $1 billion.

It is also not based on the number of tickets sold; even if there are more tickets sold in a particular drawing, odds of winning a prize remain the same.

When it comes to PowerPlay, the website states that for an additional $1 per play, non-jackpot prizes can be multiplied 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X. The multiplier number is randomly chosen before each draw. The 10X multiplier is only in play when the advertised jackpot annuity is $150 million or less.
