Powerball Results, Numbers for 12/11/21: Did Anyone Win the $307 Million?
Powerball numbers for the December 11 drawing were 03, 25, 44, 53 and 64, with the Powerball 10; the Power Play was 2X.
No one won the £307 million jackpot on Saturday, according to the Powerball website, and the grand prize will climb to an estimated jackpot of $320 million for the next draw on Tuesday, December 14.
Despite no one picking up the top prize, there were some happy winners who would be taking home a substantial sum of money.
One lucky player from Michigan correctly guessed the five white balls, winning $1 million in the process.
Fifteen players matched four white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000, and four winners managed to double their winnings thanks to the 2X Powerplay.
In total, 454 winners took home $100 after matching four white balls and 110 doubled their prize total thanks to the 2X Power Play.
The Powerball's jackpot has not been claimed since a player in California won a prize worth nearly $700 million, the fifth-largest in Powerball history, in the October 4 draw.
According to the Powerball website, the winning ticket for the draw was bought at Albertsons in Morro Bay.
Those who want to be involved in the Powerball draw can buy tickets from $2 per play and then decide on five numbers between 1 to 69, with an additional red Powerball number from 1 to 26.
In some circumstances, players can multiply non-jackpot prizes by using the Powerplay option for an additional $1.
Tickets for the draw are sold in 45 states as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Draws are typically broadcast every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from a studio in Tallahassee, Florida.
Should a player be lucky enough to win the jackpot, they can choose to receive their prize as an annuity, meaning it is paid in 30 installments over 29 years, or as a lump sum payment. The advertised prize amount is before federal and jurisdictional taxes are taken into account.
According to the Powerball website, the odds of winning the Grand Prize is one in 292,201,338, while the odds of taking home $1 million is one in 11,688,053.
The website adds that the "odds of winning a prize are the same in every Powerball drawing."
It explains, "even if there are more tickets sold in a particular drawing, your odds of winning a prize are the same."
