Internet Obsessed With Cat's Fabulous Prance in Viral Video—'Dressage Horse'

One cat's fabulous walk has delighted the internet after a video went viral on TikTok.

Shared on February 7 by user fluffytailprince, the video now has 2.9 million views. Posted with the caption "when everyone thinks you're a girl because of your walk," the fabulous kitty struts his way towards the camera with his famous fluffy tail floating behind.

Loved by viewers on the video-sharing site, it has over 630 likes and thousands of comments. "A distinguished gentleman," wrote one user. "That cat has style," said another.

Cat advice site Fear Free Happy Homes explained: "Feline movement could be described as grace on paws. Cats have a variety of movements and gaits."

In the video, 2-year-old Ragdoll mix named Fluffy is trotting through the house. Fear Free Happy Homes said: "When something piques your cat's curiosity or he's on a mission to get from one place to another, he engages this purposeful stride."

"Such a prancy little boy!" wrote one commenter: "I love when animals have a bounce to their walk."

"I have a boy cat that everyone thinks is a girl because of his walk. He's my little buddy," said one user. "That cat does not walk, he prances with grace," wrote another.

With over 170,000 followers on TikTok, this delightful cat also has his own Instagram account with over 300 followers.

Many viewers were also thrilled by his fluffy appearance. Ragdoll cats are known for their soft fur and gentle nature—and his fluffy tail does not disappoint.

"His tail is so luxurious," wrote one commenter.

"That's the best tail I've ever seen on a cat," said another.

In another delightful video shared by TikTok user fluffytailprince, the voiceover asks "What is the most impressive thing about your pet?" as the cat does his trademark trot through the screen, the user has written: "His walk"

"Was he a dressage horse in a past life?" asked one commenter.

It's no surprise that so many viewers loved Fluffy's video, as a nation of cat lovers, a recent Statista survey revealed that 45.3 million households in the U.S. have a cat. But even a healthy dose of cat content can have a positive impact on us, as a 2015 study by Indiana University revealed that watching cat videos actually boosts viewers' energy and positive emotions and decreases negative feelings.

Back in December 2021, a cat went viral after swapping walking for a ride around the house on a walker. The internet was also delighted when a cat who lost his front legs to frostbite bravely walked down the stairs again.
