PS5 Restock Update for Walmart, PS Direct, Amazon, GameStop, Antonline and More

PS5 restocks are going to be relatively infrequent over the coming days, as there was already a fair bit of activity last week. Having said that, there is potentially one outlet that could be releasing more units in the near future.

Below is a breakdown of the latest PS5 restock information.

Walmart PS5 Restock

The only retailer that is forecast to potentially be selling PS5s this week is Walmart.

The merchant is certainly overdue for a restock by now, as it has not offered any new supplies since Thursday, July 1. If its track record is anything to go by, Walmart will hopefully be updating its inventory again this Thursday at 3 p.m. ET (as per usual).

PS Direct PS5 Restock

Sony's official storefront did technically restock on PlayStation 5s Friday, July 16, but the virtual queue never opened to the general public. Instead, PS Direct was only allowing randomly chosen shoppers, who received email notifications ahead of time, to place orders.

Normally, these invitations are just for a limited period of exclusivity (after which the virtual queue opens up to everybody else) but, on this particular occasion, the next-gen consoles never became widely available.

This exact same thing happened last time PS Direct restocked, indicating that the outlet may have changed its distribution system.

GameStop PS5 Restock

Just as we published our previous restock update, GameStop began selling PS5 units to its "PowerPro Rewards" members. These customers were given precedence over everybody else, and the console bundles quickly sold out.

If you want to benefit from this exclusivity window next time, you can sign up for a PowerPro rewards membership for the cost of $14.99 a year.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

On Wednesday, July 14, Best Buy restocked both the disc and digital edition of the PS5.

Given the recency of this, industry trackers are predicting that further units will not be available from the merchant for at least another week. On that note, Best Buy typically restocks every fortnight, meaning that its next drop could potentially occur around Wednesday, July 28.

Antonline PS5 Restock

In a rare turn of events, Antonline managed to replenish its PS5 inventory twice last week.

First, they were offering an $829 package on Wednesday, July 14, that came with a number of accessories and a pair of games.

Then, on Friday, July 16, they released an extra bundle that saw the PS5 ship with copies of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, The Last of Us Part II, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Sackboy: A Big Adventure and MLB The Show 21. Together, this was all priced at $789.94.

This bundle reportedly sold out in just under five minutes and, at the time of writing, you can no longer buy the PS5 in any form from Antonline.

Newegg PS5 Restock

You were able to enter a Newegg Shuffle on Friday for a chance at winning a PS5.

For context, this was basically a lottery draw that the retailer used to offload an assortment of its more in-demand products (including the Xbox Series X and various computer parts). Entering the raffle did not guarantee you access to any of these items, but it did give you a chance to place an order if you were lucky enough to have your name randomly selected.

Target PS5 Restock

Target was selling PS5 units on Friday, July 9, and since then, there has been no word on when the next restock will occur.

With the exception of last time, Target usually restocks on Wednesdays or Thursdays in the early hours of the morning. As such, it might be worth keeping an eye on their social media channels around then, particularly on July 21 and July 22.

Amazon PS5 Restock

At the time of writing, you cannot add a PS5 to your Amazon basket.

You might occasionally find units on the marketplace for a hyper-inflated cost but, in such cases, they are always being sold by third-party vendors for way above the recommended manufacture's price.

As such, you are better off waiting for dedicated console trackers, like @Wario64 and @GYXdeals, to publicize the next official Amazon restock date.
