Puppy Repeatedly Tries to Swim in Small Bowl in Hilarious Viral Video

A video of a small Dachshund trying to swim in a water bowl has gone viral online, having attracted nearly 20 million views.

In the footage, shared to TikTok by an account called Ember_weenie, we can see the puppy lying with her back legs in a water bowl on a garden patio.

The sweet pooch, whose name is Ember, then curls up inside the bowl which hilariously topples over.

Unperturbed, the animal then tries again as a West Highland White Terrier looks on confused.

The video ends with a shot of the pet successfully wedged inside the small make-shift paddling pool.

The footage has gained lots of traction since it was posted on July 6, having been liked by a staggering 2.7 million people and attracted 19.5 million views.

Additionally, more than 19,200 comments have been left beneath the cute clip.

Many people called for the dog owner to purchase Ember a pool of her own, including one TikTok user called Carmen who wrote: "Someone get her a pool."

However, another person, What's Up, responded to this by explaining: "Y'all she did get the dog a pool she shows it in one of her vids though it is cute seeing the dog in the water cup."

Lindsey b laughed: "The way she reacted to the ice touching her. She was like what was that. Ok I will try again."

Samantha gushed: "Oh my gosh this pup what a lil [little] water luvin baby... ha even in the water dish I don't think she could ask any harder," alongside a string of laughing-face emojis.

The funny footage has since been viewed more than 4.3 million times and garnered 530,500 likes.
