'Pyschonauts 2' Good Vibes Only Walkthrough: Psychoseismometer Locations

Psychonauts 2 is a fairly compact game if you only focus on blitzing through its main story, but there are a handful of optional activities and hidden secrets for you to uncover as well.

An early example of this can be found when you visit Gisu in the quarry treehouse and she delegates her intern assignment to you. Newsweek has prepared the following walkthrough to help you complete this side quest and to unlock the "Good Vibes Only" achievement.

Where to Find Gisu in 'Psychonauts 2'

Gisu can be found in the quarry area, which unlocks shortly after you have completed the "Hollis' Hot Streak" mission.

She is hanging out with Morris in the secret treehouse, which you can access by jumping across the floating logs that are to your immediate left when you leave the Motherlobe. You will know you are heading in the right direction when you start to hear rock music blaring from the hideout.

If you speak to Gisu here, she will give you a quest to track down and deactivate a trio of psychoseismometers. In terms of finding these devices (which resemble hovering computer terminals), you will need to explore the wider quarry region, as well as the mysterious "Questionable Area."

When you interact with any of the psychoseismometers, you will be transported to a small combat arena. You will have to clear these in order to finish the quest, so make sure to stock up on plenty of healing supplies before you head out.

Psychoseismometer Location 1

It makes sense to get the nearest psychoseismometer first.

This one is located within the quarry zone, inside the "Blast Cap Betty Cave" system. If you do not know where that is, head towards the entrance to the Questionable Area (marked with #1 on the map) and watch out for the relevant signs.

You will need to do a bit of platforming once you are inside the cave—jumping on spring pads and climbing along vines—but once you reach the end of the gauntlet you will be rewarded with the psychoseismometer.

Psychoseismometer Location 2

For the next Psychoseismometer, you will need to exit the cave and venture into the Questionable Area itself.

This one is a little harder to find, as it is nestled high within the dense treeline. It can be found roughly halfway between the "Lumberstack Diner" and the "Forgetful Forest" waypoints on the map.

Along the western outskirts of the woods, you will find a ladder (near a sign for the diner). Climb up this and then walk along the wooden platform until you hit a dead end.

Next, you will need to jump to the closest tree branches and swing across them until you arrive at a tightrope. Once you have crossed this tightrope, you will then need to swing on another pair of branches and jump on a series of green bounce pads to get even higher up.

Once you have reached the top, you will see a gust of wind blowing in the direction of an isolated platform. Use your levitate power to ride this gale over to the platform, where you will find the second psychoseismometer.

Psychoseismometer Location 3

The final Psychoseismometer is considerably easier to find than the others.

All you need to do is head towards the "Aquato Family Caravan" waypoint on the map. From the main entrance to the campgrounds, take a sharp left and head through the bushes just behind Nona's tent.

There, you will see a series of rock platforms that you can jump on to reach a hidden cave. The final Psychoseismometer is located within. Once you have deactivated it, head back to Gisu for your reward.

Psychonauts 2 received a perfect score in Newsweek's review. The game is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PC, PS4 and PS5. It is also included as part of the Xbox Game Pass service.
