Trump Hotel in D.C. Hikes up Price for Significant QAnon Date of March 4

The price to rent a room at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C, has been massively hiked on the date that believers of the QAnon conspiracy theory believe that Donald Trump will still somehow be sworn in as president.

Using the same shifting of goalposts and anarchic reasoning as they have done with all their other failed predictions, QAnon now claim March 4 will be the next day that Trump will be sworn in despite losing the election and Joe Biden already being inaugurated.

As first reported by Forbes, the cost to rent a room at the Trump International Hotel in the capital currently stands at $1,331—more than double the $596 price for a guest room for most of that month and nearly triple the lowest cost.

Forbes notes that on January 5 and 6—the date of the Capitol attack in which QAnon followers were a part of—the lowest available room rates at Trump International in Washington D.C. topped $7,500 and $8,000 respectively.

The March price hike is exclusive to the Trump International Hotel, according to Zach Everson in his 1100 Pennsylvania newsletter. Other luxury hotels in the capital appear to have the same standard rates for the nights of March 3 and 4.

The March 4 date is the latest significant one for QAnon, as many believe it will be the day that Trump—who is still seen as a savior by the radical movement despite failing to bring down the "deep state" and execute high profile satanic pedophiles during his time in office—will be brought back as president.

The latest claims echo that of the sovereign citizen movement, whose followers believe they do not have to follow laws or pay taxes.

The basis of this comes from a law they say passed in 1871 which secretly turned the U.S. into a corporation. The sovereign citizen movement therefore believes that every president after Ulysses S. Grant is illegitimate and Trump will become the 19th president.

They also claim the U.S. has been run by a group of shadowy investors since 1933 when Franklin D. Roosevelt ended the gold standard. The date of presidential inaugurations were also changed from March 4 to January 20 in 1933.

"A peaceful transition is coming. Trump will not be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States on January 20th," one QAnon follower says in a video posted prior to Biden's inauguration.

"Trump will take office as the 19th president on March 4th, under the restored republic. Let me explain. You believe you live in a nation called the United States of America. This nation hasn't existed since 1871, when this country ceased to be a nation and became a corporation belonging to the city of London," she adds.

Travis View, host of the QAnon Anonymous podcast, previously told NPR it does not matter to the conspiracy theorists that every single one of their predictions from as far back as 2017 has been incorrect and will not waiver their belief.

"They come to their conclusion first," View said. "They decide what makes them feel best and then they construct conspiracy theories that help them convince themselves why that's true.

"It's really kind of like an improvisational reality building," he adds. "They don't look to the outside world to try and figure out what is true and what is not, and as a consequence, sometimes have to face harsh truths such as the electoral victory of Joe Biden."
