QuickBooks Online Down, Not Working? Accounting Software Outages Reported

The popular business account software QuickBooks online was having major outages Thursday afternoon, according to users across the U.S. According to DownDetector, the first QuickBooks outages were reported around 2:30 p.m. EST.
The outage map shows QuickBooks is down and not working for customers throughout the U.S. Many users tweeted our commented about how aspects of their businesses were at a standstill because QuickBooks was not working.
"Help I have last-minute end of year order to put in and need this to be reliable -- Now." DownDetector user Liz Gartland wrote.
"When's the most inconvenient time for QBO to go down all year long? Oh, anytime in the last two weeks of the year," user Heather Young wrote.
Other users said the first problems began Wednesday problems continuing Thursday.
"Was not able to use the Mac app for Quickbooks Online at all yesterday 12/26. Called and told it was a known issue," user JudaDE wrote." Used online web application.This morning, still the same issue with no fix in sight. Ugh."
QuickBooks' customer support Twitter account was replying to individual accounts for troubleshooting issues but had not issued a general public statement about the widespread outages.
"We have received word that QBO is currently down. Our engineers are working on this issue diligently to get you back to business," the account tweeted.

Users of QuickBooks, however, were not silent on the issue on Twitter.
"What a surprise @QuickBooks is not working...that's odd...said NO ACCOUNTANT EVER," Twitter user Kenneth Weddle tweeted. "Usually when this happens there is yet another price increase around the corner... "
