'Red Dead Redemption 2' Best Weapons: What's the Best 'Bang' for Your Buck?
Red Dead Redemption 2 has 59 different weapons to find, and after playing through the entire campaign, I only found 25 of them. While there probably are better weapons hidden out west, these are easy to find and should be staples of your arsenal.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Best Weapons: What's the Best 'Bang' for Your Buck?

It sounds simple, but one gun stands head and shoulders above the rest in Red Dead Redemption 2 : the Lancaster Repeater. This bad boy fits 14 shots without having to reload, which is way more than most other weapons. Additionally, the Lancaster Repeater has a quick rate of fire, has a pretty decent range, and rarely takes more than three shots to down an enemy. A better standard weapon you will not find.

However, the Lancaster Repeater isn't suited to every situation. When the fighting gets close, you're going to want to swap to the semi-automatic shotgun. This weapon will need to be bought from a gun store, but is more than worth it. The semi-automatic is vastly superior to the more common double-barrel variety, because it can hold more shots before having to reload.
If you're looking for the coolest weapons in the Wild West, you're going to want to start the side mission The Noblest of Men, And a Woman. This side mission can be found in the smaller saloon in Valentine, and can be started very early in the game. Players are given photographs of four famous gunslingers, and must track them down. When looking at the photographs, flip them over for information on where each target is. Your map will also update with the gunslinger's location after you read the back of each photo.
SPOILERS FOR RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 AHEAD
When completing The Noblest of Men, And a Woman, you'll end up in several gunfights with these famous crack shots. After you kill them, be sure to search their bodies to find signature weapons. You'll eventually have to fight Boy Calloway as well, so look for his too. Most of the weapons are revolvers, but Midnight's pistol is pretty sweet too.
