Former basketball pro Lamar Odom is breathing on his own and has been taken off life support, according to NBC News.

Odom was found unconcious at a brothel in Crystal, Nevada on Tuesday evening after he reportedly consumed herbal Viagra. The two-time NBA championship winner has been hospitalized since that time, with his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian by his side and former teammate Kobe Bryant having traveled quickly to be there as well.

Despite being able to breathe on his own, the 35-year-old may still have brain damage from the incident, during which he suffered at least one stroke, according to the television network. He is being treated at the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.

Odom is best known for his time in the NBA. He played for 14 seasons, starting with the Los Angeles Clippers in 1999. His basketball career ended in 2014, after he was waived by the New York Knicks.
