Every year Rihanna serves up some pretty epic looks at the Met Gala. This year, however, she did not attend alone and instead had someone on her arm sporting a similarly intriguing outfit.
At this year's Met Gala, Rihanna brought rapper ASAP Rocky to the party, and though they were fashionably late, their outfits turned heads straight away.
Rihanna wore a Balenciaga overcoat in black, which seemed plush and cozy, while ASAP Rocky wore a multi-colored quilt, taking the comfort factor to another level.
Their arrival together has sparked further questions on whether they are a couple, after they have been seen together a number of times over the past few months.
Are ASAP Rocky and Rihanna Dating?
Rihanna and ASAP Rocky's arrival at the Met Gala is confirmation of their relationship, after the pair have been spotted together multiple times.
ASAP Rocky also planted a kiss on Rihanna while on the red carpet, cementing their status as the King and Queen of the Met Gala.
This is not the first time they have walked the red carpet together, however, as they were first seen together back in December 2019 when they attended the British Fashion Awards in London.
Over the following year, while the world was locked down, the rumor mill churned about the pair being in a relationship after they were spotted at charity event together in January 2020.
In July 2020, ASAP Rocky appeared alongside Rihanna in a campaign for Fenty Beauty, her cosmetics brand, when she launched a skincare line.
In a video interview for GQ which came out at the same time, Rihanna interviewed ASAP Rocky, asking him what challenges he faced working with her.
He responded: "I think the hardest part about working with you is not goofing off and laughing the whole time... The hardest part is not having too much fun. You just forget that it's still work at the end of the day."
Over the turn of 2020 into 2021, various sources spoke to a number of outlets from Entertainment Tonight to People, confirming how the pair had become inseparable.
After they were spotted together in April, ASAP Rocky did an interview for GQ where he seemed to admit to the relationship and how deep their feelings were.
He called her "my lady" and "the love of my life," and when asked what it's like to be in a relationship, he replied: "So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones... I think when you know, you know. She's the One."
If this was not confirmation enough, in August a source told People: "They are crazy about each other," while a second source added the couple has everything "for the long term."
Now, their September outing has confirmed their iconic status among celebrity couples.
