‘Ring of Elysium’ Update: December Patch Notes: New Costumes and Adrenaline Buff, New Game Mode Soon

New updates for Ring of Elysium, a battle royale shooter available on Steam Early Access, makes substantial changes to characters and gameplay controls. December has seen two updates for the snowbound shooter so far, plus the announcement of a new game mode, “Takeoff.”

Free-to-play, Ring of Elysium combines features from both PUBG and Fortnite on a sprawling, arctic map, as sixty players fight to secure one of the four seats on a rescue chopper, as the snowstorm Ymir closes in.

‘Ring of Elysium’ Update: 12.6.2018 Patch Notes

The most recent update came Thursday, Dec. 6. This one is relatively minor, with but a single patch note:

“Newly registered players now have to successfully board the evacuation helicopter in their training game to unlock Solo mode.”

Solo mode is simple: you vs. 59 other players. This new update ensures you’re a little more prepared by raising the barrier for entry in training.

Finally, the new update will include Christmas-themed helmets, cars, lootboxes and more.

In addition to the fixes included in the various December updates, the Ring of Elysium team also announced a new game mode called “Takeoff”:
