2022 Rose Parade: Route, Time, Theme and How To Watch Live
The annual Rose Parade is one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the nation's calendar.
And 2022's procession should be all the more special following from last year's cancellation due to coronavirus; the first time such a pause has occurred since World War II.
Read on to discover everything you need to know about the floral float-filled festivities taking place this New Year's Day.
What Is The Rose Parade?

The earliest of the events, known officially as the Tournament of Roses, witnessed floats filled with orange-blossom-bedecked, horse-drawn carriages wowing crowds in 1890.
The parade is scheduled to mark the start of the American college football Rose Bowl Game in the Los Angeles suburb of Pasadena, California.
This year's incarnation sees football teams the Utah Utes and the Ohio State Buckeyes playing against each other in the 2022 Rose Bowl game, beginning at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET.
More than a century since the inaugural event, the floats on the 133rd parade now vie to be the most eye-catching by using sophisticated tech tucked away beneath a sea of brightly colored flowers.
A statement on the Tournament of Roses site promises visitors will this year "experience the beauty of the floral floats along with spirited marching bands and high-stepping equestrian units."
Rose Parade 2022 Theme

The theme of the 2022 Rose Parade is "Dream. Believe. Achieve." Both those attending in-person and others watching on TV can expect to see flowered floats inspired by TV shows such as ABC's The Bachelor and Fox's The Masked Singer making an appearance.
Additionally, brands, businesses and charities such as the AIDS Health Foundation, AMC Theatres, Reese's and Trader Joe's are also anticipated to be taking part.
Expect pop star LeAnn Rimes to add a sprinkle of celebrity stardust to the parade party when she performs her track "Throw My Arms Around the World."
And also promising to provide live music are Laine Hardy and the Hot 8 Brass Band, during the mid-parade show, while country music artist Jimmie Allen will bring the show's grand finale to a close.
The parade will also feature classic cars, horse riding, marching bands and even the U.S. Army Parachute Team dropping out of the sky onto the parade route.
