Roy Hodgson Emerges As Surprise Candidate for Leicester City

Roy Hodgson, the former England manager, has emerged as a surprise candidate to take the Leicester City job.
Leicester, the reigning English Premier League champion, dismissed Claudio Ranieri last Thursday, with assistant Craig Shakespeare in temporary charge for the 3-1 victory over Liverpool on Monday night that lifted it clear of the relegation zone.
The Daily Telegraph reports Hodgson is now a viable contender following tentative talks with Leicester's owners, although Shakespeare is the favorite following Leicester's vastly improved display against Liverpool.
Hodgson, who left the England post following an ignominious defeat to Iceland in the round of 16 at UEFA Euro 2016 last June, pulled off one of the Premier League's great escapes from relegation in the 2007-08 season, when Fulham won four of its last five games to claw its way to safety.
