Rudy Giuliani Tells Fox News Guest 'You Don't Know What You're Talking About, Idiot,' After Revealing State Department Asked Him to Speak With Ukraine

President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani branded a fellow Fox News interviewee a "moron" and told him to shut up while discussing claims the State Department asked him to speak with Ukrainian officials.

Giuliani had appeared on The Ingraham Angle on Tuesday night to discuss his involvement with Ukraine following an article in The Washington Post claiming he "pursued a shadow Ukraine agenda" and cited an unnamed U.S. official claiming: "Rudy—he did all of this. This s*** show that we're in, it's him injecting himself into the process."

The lawyer denied that he had injected himself into the process—rather insisting that he had been asked to become involved.

"You know who I did it at the request of? The State Department. I never talked to a Ukrainian official until the State Department called me and asked me to do it," he told host Laura Ingraham.

"And then I reported every conversation back to them. Laura, I'm a pretty good lawyer, just a country lawyer, but it's all right here, right here. The first call from the State Department."

However, he appeared on the same show later to discuss his comments and entered into a shouting match with liberal commentator Chris Hahn, who said: "I just heard the president's personal, political attorney say that he was directed by the State Department to go meet with Ukraine to get evidence on the president's political opponent."

"Rudy Giuliani, who hasn't practiced political criminal law since the early 1980s is now saying he has evidence, he has all this information—he's making things up and if the Bidens weren't public figures it would be libelous," he added.

Giuliani bit back at Hahn, commenting: "I should sue you for libel, because you irresponsibly said... you actually usually say incredibly stupid things.

"Shut up, shut up you don't know what you're talking about," Giuliani continued as Hahn interrupted him.

"You don't know what you're talking about, idiot," Giuliani said, prompting Hahn to respond: "I do."

"No, you don't," said Giuliani. "You lied my friend, you lied."

"Just keep your lying mouth shut. He said about me that I was asked by the state department to go dig up dirt on Trump's opponent. Totally false. The state department asked me...

"You just said it," Hahn interrupted.

"No I didn't you did you liar," Giuliani continued. "I do not want to be interrupted by that, that serial liar. So here's why I was asked by the state department, it's all documented, they called me to facilitate a meeting between the president and Mr. [Volodymyr] Zelensky to help them do that.

"I met with the representative of Mr. Zelensky, we never discussed any kind of pressure about a criminal case, we never discussed any kind of quid pro quo or pressure, so I am more than willing to have anybody talk to the person that I talked to," he said.
