When Does 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Return? 'All-Stars 4' Contestants, Premiere Date Revealed in First-look Video

RuPaul's Drag Race returns with All-Stars 4 right in time for the Christmas holiday. A trailer announcing the fourth installment of RuPaul's popular drag competition featuring former contestants released on Monday, showcasing the returning competitors chopping away at ice-encased gold crowns to the tune of "Carol of the Queens"—the New York Gay Men's Chorus' version of the wintertime classic, "Carol of the Bells."

The promo revealed the return of various Drag Race queens including Gia Gunn, Manila Luzon, Trinty the Tuck, Monique Heart, Monét X Change, Valentina, Jasmine Masters, Farrah Moan, Naomi Smalls and Latrice Royale. In true Drag Race fashion, the contestants will wow the judges by competing in a number of entertaining and over-the-top performances—all with the hopes of winning a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.

RuPaul spoke highly of the upcoming season and assured fans it would be just as spicy as the last, which saw a monumental showdown between winner Trixie Mattel and fan-favorite Shangela. "The girls on All-Stars 4 are exciting and they have so much more to show," RuPaul told Entertainment Weekly in early November.

"I think [Season 4] will shock fans, although I don't think they'll be as disappointed," the show host continued. "We always try to do something fresh and interesting, and sometimes it turns out in a way that you don't really expect. I love Trixie. She's a real superstar, but I really didn't count on the other girls who came back being so vindictive."

RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars is set to premiere with Season 4 on VH1 at 8 p.m. EST on Dec. 14.

The new season is set to kick off just one week after the VH1 Christmas special, RuPaul's Drag Race Holi-Slay Spectacular, airs on the network Dec. 7.
