Rush Limbaugh Calls Top 2020 Democratic Candidates 'White Dinosaurs' From Jurassic Park

Rush Limbaugh, a notable conservative radio talk show host, spent a considerable amount of time on TV Thursday night bashing Democrats. Most notably among those was the crowded field of Democrat presidential candidates for the 2020 election.

While appearing on Special Report With Bret Baier, he was asked about the crowded field of Democrats who had already declared to run for president, and he included polling data. He said the frontrunners are not what the Democrats should want if they expect to win in 2020.

He also said President Donald Trump could win reelection against whomever emerges from this field.

"I think it's beatable," Limbaugh said. "Take a look at the Democrats. What are they talking about? We're diverse, we're wide open, we've got every demographic and who is leading in their polling data? A 77-year-old white guy, followed by a 75-year-old white guy. This is not what they want. I don't think the Democrat party wants to nominate an aging, old while dinosaur from Jurassic Park in the old-fashion days of their party."

Sen. Bernie Sanders, 77, was a nominee for president in 2016, but lost to Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary. Former Vice President Joe Biden, who's actually 76 and will turn 77 on Nov. 20, leads most polls even though he hasn't even declared to run for commander-in-chief yet.

Both of the top two candidates are older than Trump, who is 72 and will be 73 in June.

Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke, also caucasian, will turn 47 this September and is currently third in most Democratic polls. The three white men are the only Democratic candidates receiving double-digits in the most recent polls.

Next in line are: California Sen. Kamala Harris, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Cory Booker, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, former San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro and former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, according to Vox.com.

"Whoever they nominate, Brett, I think they're imminently beatable," Limbaugh said. "I don't think the Democrat party, particularly this new push to extreme leftist socialism has any chance of being supported by a vast majority of the American people. We're not there yet, and we have to beat it back."

Limbaugh said a crowded field will cause the candidates to shoot arrows at each other as they jockey position not only for more votes, but more air time during many of the debates.

"I'm glad there's so many running because it's gonna be a hoot as these people try to out-leftists each other and compete against each other about who can destroy America this way the fastest and who can get America out of this country the soonest or what have you," Limbaugh said.

"They don't love. They don't speak positively. The Democrats are not laughing and not seeming to have a good time."

Limbaugh said Democrats have reverted to doom-and-gloom scenarios if they don't take back the white House.

"They don't seem to enjoy life. Everything is apocalyptic," Limbaugh said. "Climate is going to destroy us in 12 years. If we've only got 12 years to live, why even worry about our trash? If all we have is 12 years, which is absurd anyway, but if that's what they want their campaign to be about, then have at it. I just don't think the American people want to be led down the path to the apocalypse and who can get us there first."
