Is 'SNL' on Tonight? Watch Idris Elba Host 'Saturday Night Live'

The sexiest man alive will serve as the next host of Saturday Night Live. That's right, his royal sexiness Idris Elba is taking over hosting duties on Saturday.

The hosting position marks an SNL first for the English actor, who was named People magazine's 2018 Sexiest Man Alive. From the looks of the latest SNL promo, viewers should expect Elba to spill much of his notable suaveness all over SNL's famous Studio 8H inside New York City's Rockefeller Center.

Elba appeared similar to any average Joe while strolling the streets of the Big Apple in the beginning of the SNL video, but after receiving a phone call revealing his SNL hosting status, the 46-year-old transformed into his typical classy man persona and celebrated his SNL arrival by dancing in a suit and sipping bubbly.

Who knows what the SNL crew has up their sleeves for first Elba's appearance on the sketch comedy show, but fans can bet the Turn Up Charlie actor will somehow manage to make whatever he does look good, per usual.

Who's performing: Muti-Grammy nominee Khalid is expected to hit the SNL stage for the first time on Saturday. The Texas native recently shared a behind-the-scenes clip on Instagram of himself gearing up for his upcoming performance. Khalid sang "Better," in the clip, and will likely belt out a few other tracks from his 2018 EP, SunCity, as well.
