Is 'SNL' on Tonight? Watch RuPaul Host 'Saturday Night Live' For the First Time

Saturday Night Live is about to get a big dose of glamour. Talk show host and drag queen legend RuPaul is set to host the long-running comedy show for the very first time on Saturday.

The SNL cast is amped for RuPaul's hosting debut, especially longtime cast member Cecily Strong. In an SNL promo video for the upcoming episode, a dressed-to-impress Strong gets to live out her dream and "sissy that walk" down the hallway alongside RuPaul, who made the over-the-top model walk famous during his earlier years when he brought drag into the mainstream.

The pair stomp down the hall as though they're hitting the RuPaul's Drag Race runway, although Strong's strut lags in comparison with the drag guru. Their model moment then gets interrupted when they open the doors of Studio 8H—SNL's home—to find fellow SNL cast member Beck Bennett eating a slice of pizza left behind by J.J. Watt, defensive end of the Houston Texans.

"Hi! J.J. Watt left pizza in his dressing room!" Bennett says excitedly.

A confused RuPaul asks, "What's a J.J. Watt, baby?"

"J.J. Watt's a guy," Bennet says of last week's SNL host.

RuPaul's appearance on SNL comes two weeks before the Drag Race creator and host launches the 12th season of his reality competition series on VH1, on February 28.

Who is performing?

Just ahead of the release of his fifth studio album, Changes, Justin Bieber will make his return to the SNL stage. The Canadian pop star has already dropped a few singles from the album—with the most recent, "Intentions," featuring Quavo of the rap trio Migos—so it's more than likely that fans will hear something from the new project.

Bieber's performance will hopefully give him the opportunity to redeem himself after earning the title as worst SNL guest ever. Bieber served double duty in 2013, hosting and performing on the show, at a time when he was constantly in the spotlight for his troublesome antics. The episode led SNL alumni Bill Hader and Jay Pharaoh to dub Bieber the "worst-behaved" guest during their joint appearance on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live in 2018.

"He just was in a bad place.... Maybe he's in a better place, but back then... it was rough," Hader said of the singer. "Everybody's usually on great behavior. Bieber is the only one in my experience.... He just seemed, like, exhausted or just at the end of a rope. I mean, he was just so huge."

When does SNL air?
