Scaramucci Predicts 85 Ex-White House Staffers Could Turn on Trump Because He Has 'No Loyalty to Anybody'

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci on Saturday predicted that as many as 85 former employees who have passed through the White House will turn on President Donald Trump as the House impeachment inquiry gears up to enter its public phase next week.

During an appearance on MSNBC on Saturday afternoon, anchor Richard Liu quoted actor Robert De Niro, who recently said, "If the president were to be a gangster, he's not a very good one."

"It's obvious," Scaramucci responded. "What I said to you during the break is his lawyers up in Otisville, that's an example of that. He has no loyalty to anybody. He would dispatch anybody in a minute and I think whether you're a gangster or CEO or somebody that knows how to build a team. You can't be like that."

"He's had 85 people leave the White House and those people are going to start turning on him," the ex-White House communications director said. "He's the Teflon Don for right now, but even the Teflon Don got snagged in the end."

Scaramucci, who infamously served as Trump's communications director for 11 days in 2017, has become one of the president's most vocal critics in recent months. In August, Scaramucci compared Trump to the Chernobyl nuclear disaster and urged the Republican Party to replace him in 2020 with a new candidate.

"We are now in the early episodes of 'Chernobyl' on HBO, where the reactor is melting down and the apparatchiks are trying to figure out whether to cover it up or start the clean-up process," the American financier and political consultant told Axios by phone. "A couple more weeks like this and 'country over party' is going to require the Republicans to replace the top of the ticket in 2020."

If Trump "doesn't reform his behavior, it will not just be me, but many others will be considering helping to find a replacement in 2020," Scaramucci continued.

"Right now, it's an unspeakable thing. But if he keeps it up, it will no longer be unspeakable," he added. "The minute they start speaking of it, it will circulate and be socialized. We can't afford a full nuclear contamination site post 2020."

Trump has also publicly attacked Scaramucci on numerous occasions since his exit from the White House. "Anthony Scaramucci, who was quickly terminated (11 days) from a position that he was totally incapable of handling, now seems to do nothing but television as the all time expert on 'President Trump,'" the president tweeted in August.
