Juventus vs. Genoa: Where to Watch Serie A, TV Channel, Live Stream and Odds

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return to the starting XI as Juventus hosts Genoa on Wednesday in the midweek round of Serie A.

Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri opted to rest the Portuguese star on Saturday for the trip to Lecce, but Ronaldo will lead the Bianconeri's attack again on Wednesday.

The Old Lady extended its unbeaten record to nine league games with a 1-1 draw on Saturday, but retained top spot in Serie A as Inter Milan failed to capitalize on its slip-up and were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Parma.

In his first season in charge of Juventus, Sarri has wasted no time in shaping the team to his philosophy.

That has included bringing Gonzalo Higuain back in the fold.

Under Massimiliano Allegri last season the Argentine had limited chances and was sent on loan to Chelsea, where he played under Sarri.

The latter, however, has brought Higuain back in the fold this season and the Argentine has played 11 games so far, while Paulo Dybala has started just five matches.

The latter has scored four goals in the last four games in all competitions, but Sarri suggested his team remained short of options up-front. That, in turn, had led to him using Ronaldo more than he would have liked.

"Even for him [Ronaldo] there will be need for rest," Sarri said in his press conference. "We'll see based on how he's feeling. I don't know when, we will decide. Right now we don't have a lot of options in order to completely rotate the squad. We'll change things with regards to the conditions of the players."

Juventus lacked its usual edge against newly-promoted Lecce, but Leonardo Bonucci refused to blame Ronaldo's absence and urged his team to get back to winning ways on Wednesday.

"We have to roll up our sleeves and be even more determined—and learn quickly too, otherwise we can end up dropping important points," he was quoted as saying by AFP. "That's what happened on [Saturday]. Luckily we have a chance to get straight back to winning ways on Wednesday."

Genoa, meanwhile, arrives into the game on the back of a much-needed win.

In his first game in charge, Thiago Motta saw his team beat Brescia 3-1 to snap a three-game losing streak to move out of the relegation zone.

Even more impressively, Genoa's three scorers were all substitutes introduced by Motta within a 20-minute spell in the second half.

Having taken one point from the previous six games, Genoa turned to Motta, who played for the club for a season in 2008-09, after firing Aurelio Andreazzoli.

Motta is technically not fully qualified to coach—he's still undertaking courses to obtain his UEFA Pro licence—and his appointment was not met with universal approval by Genoa fans.

If his first game in charge was anything to go by, however, that may change soon.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of Wednesday.
