Woman Finds the Worst Review on SHEIN and It's Horrifying the Internet

A SHEIN user has shared a horrifying review left by another customer, who was pleased her new sandals fit her "extra long" toenails.

A TikToker by the name of Lauren captured the review left on the SHEIN website in a video, sharing it to her account on January 1, where it has since gained over 700,000 views.

"I'm so sick of SHEIN," she wrote. The video showed the top review for a pair of "thin slingback thong sandals" retailing for $15 on the fast-fashion site.

The reviews are made for the purpose of showing exactly how customers feel about the item, and to potentially encourage others to make the purchase.

Despite this review raving about the shoes, and offering a beaming five stars, it may have done the opposite of persuading others. The feet photographed feature extra long toenails, hanging right out of the shoe and trailing along the floor. Each nail was painted a different color.

The review itself currently has 1017 thumbs-up on the site, with the customer dubbing the sandals "very unique and easy to slip on."

"It'll definitely be easier for someone who has beautiful nice short nails," they admitted. "I love these sandals and my extra long toenails look very nice in them."

Viewers of the TikTok were left startled by the review and flooded the comments with their immediate thoughts. "I don't think SHEIN is the problem here," wrote one viewer.

"I don't even know what side of Tiktok this is but I'm scared and I want out," added another.

One user admitted: "SHEIN reviews turned me off so many times."

"I was just about to stop scrolling and go to bed, but I cannot let this be the last thing I see," joked one TikTok viewer entertained by the out-there review.

Despite the reviewer's nails being way above average, they're not quite as long as the world record, which has been held by Californian Louise Hollis since 1982.

In 1991, they measured at their longest with a combined length of 220.98 cm (87 in) for all 10. According to Guinness World Records, Hollis was inspired to grow her nails out after seeing a TV program on the longest fingernails in the world. The latest measurements record Hollis' toenails to each be approximately 15.24 cm long.

Unlike the reviewer, Hollis rarely wears shoes. When she does though, "they must be open-toed" meaning those SHEIN sandals might just be the perfect fit.
