It was the moment the world's greatest gymnast met the world's greatest star of musically-themed romantic comedies.

Simone Biles, winner of four gold medals at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, received a visit from High School Musical star Zac Efron on Tuesday night.

Efron, who played teen dream basketball hero Troy Bolton in the three films in the mid-2000s, has been a consistent supporter of the United States' gymnastics team, which has been dubbed the "Final Five," throughout the Olympic competition.

Efron planted a kiss on the cheek of 19-year-old Biles, in a video posted to her Snapchat, before she returned the gesture.

Biles picked up her fourth gold with her floor routine on Tuesday, with Britain's Amy Tinkler, the youngest athlete in Team GB at 16, taking the bronze medal.
