Is 'SNL' on Tonight? Season 46, Episode 7 Host, Musical Guest

It's been a while, but Saturday Night Live is finally returning with a fresh Season 46 episode this weekend.

The cast and crew took a mini hiatus in November, but now Kenan Thompson, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, Beck Bennett, Heidi Gardner, Chris Redd and the rest of the gang are set to return to the famous Studio 8H where the show is filmed in front of a live audience inside New York City's Rockefeller Center. The upcoming SNL will mark the first of a trio of episodes set to air in the month of December and then the show will break again before returning with the winter half of Season 46 sometime in the new year.

For as many weeks they've missed, fans should expect to see some pretty interesting parodies of all the current events that have happened win American society since the 2020 election. It's anyone's guess if Alec Baldwin, Jim Carrey and Maya Rudolph will appear on the show on Saturday, but it wouldn't be surprising if they reprised their roles as President Donald Trump, President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, respectively, considering all the voter fraud shenanigans the president and his administration have been spewing as of late.

Nonetheless, it's sure to be a great show. We've rounded up all the info you need to know about the upcoming seventh episode of Saturday Night Live Season 46 below.

Who's hosting?

It's been a long time but Jason Bateman is making his big comeback to the SNL set. The actor hasn't appeared on the show since February 2005.

Who's performing?

Looks like Morgan Wallen is finally making his SNL debut.

The country singer was originally invited to perform on SNL in October. However, he was pulled from the show just 72 hours before his set after NBC and the SNL team discovered he attended a University of Alabama football game just days before he was supposed to appear on the show. Wallen was also captured on video maskless and partying with fans. Nor was he following social distancing measures. And since he violated SNL's strict COVID-19 protocols, the show had to pull the plug on his performance.

But it seems he's been on his best behavior and following coronavirus prevention guidelines so now he will finally get a chance to rock the SNL stage.
