Sophie Turner Starring in Boy George Biopic? Fans Can't Seem to Un-See Their Resemblance

Whether you know her as Sansa Stark, the Dark Phoenix or the woman who married your teen heartthrob, Sophie Turner may be in the works for another identity — Boy George.

The 58-year-old singer — born George Alan O'Dowd — looks to be in the works of a biopic. During an interview with Australian radio show hosts Fitzy and Wippa, Boy George said the Game of Thrones actress was the most "interesting" suggestion when it came to figuring out who should play the Culture Club frontman.

"There have been some really interesting suggestions," Boy George said at the time. "One of the most interesting suggestions was Sophie Turner. [People will say] 'She can't play you she's a woman,' you know. But when I was 17, I would have loved to have been her."

Following the news of the 58-year-old's interest in Turner, the actress tweeted Monday that she would be "so down."

Now with Turner seemingly on board, fans are just downright confused why they had never seen their resemblance beforehand.

"How did we all not see this earlier? I feel like this is something we didn't know we needed! You were meant to play this role," one Twitter user responded to Turner's tweet.

"Ummm, yes, please! I can absolutely picture this in my head," @RebeccaSowell6 added.

"Not only would it be terrific casting, but it's what @BoyGeorge wants so duh - make it happen, people," Twitter user @MadMaryBerry concluded. "Sophie is amazing in everything!"

An official premiere date nor casting have been set in stone; however, "My Dinner with Herve" director Sacha Gervasi will reportedly write and direct the untitled biopic, according to a Vogue report.

The Boy George-centered film was first announced in May and rides the coattails of successful musician biopics Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman. While on the Australian radio show, Boy George was asked whether a film about his life made him nervous, to which he responded that he's already had plenty of "ridiculous" things said about him.

"In our game, there is always [so much] stuff that is written about you that is so ridiculous, that you say 'I don't mind it... it makes me sound more interesting.' He sleeps upside down on the roof. He only lives on lentils, that kind of stuff... I think it just makes a great picture."
